About Neighborhood War:

As it is, I simply cannot recommend this game. Although it shows some good premise, I believe the work on it is far from being done. This review shouldn’t be seen so much as a review but rather as an explanation as to what’s this game about, and as a source of advice to the dev. First of all and as you can tell from the description, Neighborhood is an ARPG. You control your character, give him a few equipements to survive and do more damage while trying to finish quests. Onto the rest, then! Plot: Being a modern era ARPG about trying to make your neighborhood a better place, the quests are rather simple and the plot will surely not lose you: find the missing kid, help that girl open her shop, etc. There’s not much complexity but then again, that’s not what we’re here for. Graphics: While there is some charm to the simplicity of pixel shading, in the case of Neighborhood, it doesn’t work. The lack of color depth and the small number of polygons used for the models don’t do this game justice. Not enough work was done in that field.
